Family Photos

While Jenny was here we had our pictures taken. We have not had a picture taken of the three of us before so it was fun to have them taken again. They were taken at The Picture People in the mall. Here is the link to view the pictures. http://smilestore.picturepeople.com/my/images?tk=4bd66789-a2ea-42f7-83dd-5d8a9a5c4704. Let me know what you think. I know that Chris does not look super happy in all of them. He just doesn't smile well under pressure. But we had fun and got some good pictures.

Crazy Monsoon Weather

Here are some pictures of what our monsoon rain looks like after a big storm hits. It only rained for about a half hour and this is how much rain fell. Our main road out to the freeway was flooded in some areas and Chris got a kick out of driving through them. They say that since we had a dry summer we are probably going to have a wet winter so more rain still to come. I can't wait!!

Crazy Week

So this week was pretty crazy. On Monday I got offered a permanent job at the place that I have been temping at for the past three months so that is good news. I will be starting on Monday the 24th as one of the Claims customer service representatives.

Jenny went home on Tuesday and we were sad to see her go. The house felt so quiet and empty without her here. Later on that night, Chris was messing around with the alarm system and accidentally armed the system. So I called our property manager and she didn't have the code to unarm the system. So at this point I am starting to get a little freaked out, we were now locked into our house and there was no way out without setting off the alarm. So we tried to google our brand of alarm system to see if there was something on the manual that would help us. We couldn't find anything so Chris went down and hit the star and the pound button together, well that ended up being the panic button. So the alarm went off! It was so loud and at that point I was breaking down. The dogs were freaking out and they were running around barking and whining. I cannot believe how loud alarm systems are. So Chris had to cut all the wires to the battery for the alarm system and he cut the wires to the box that makes all the noise. So Shawn if you are reading this it was not good advice to tell Chris to just arm the system because we didnt know how to unarm the system.

On Thursday we did the walk through on our old house. We are so glad that they agreed to let us out of our lease.

Jenny's Visit

Jenny came out to Tucson to visit us for a week. While she was here we went up to Phoenix to our Uncle Rod and Aunt Kathy's house for some jet skiing. While we were there it was Jenny's birthday so Kathy put a candle in her breakfast. It was really cute. We all went out for dinner our first night there at Poncho's. It is this small mexican restaurant that is really good. Chris and I went out on the jet skis a couple of times. Chris is such a crazy driver!! We all got sunburned in random places. Chris got burned on the top of his forehead, racing stripes down his shoulders, a stripe across his back and the top of one foot. Jenny got burned on the tops of her knees, and her back pretty bad (she only wanted sunscreen on her face). I got burned on my shoulders, the tops of my feet, my hairline (which is starting to peel so it looks like I have dandruff) and the sides of my face near my eyes. But all in all it was a fun day and boy were we tired that night.

Here is the awesome cake that Aunt Kathy made for Jenny's birthday. It took her two tries to get all the candles blown out. I guess she wanted to do each cake separately.

Big Ugly Spider

Usually spiders don't scare me or freak me out but this one was HUGE. It was on the house outside, I would say it was the size of tennis ball. Chris says that I am stretchin it but it was huge. So Chris goes to put his hand next to it and it moves really fast and it scared me. It just took off. Anyways I guess this is what you get when you live out in the middle of nowhere.

More of the House

Here are the dogs sleeping on our bathroom floor. In Rawlins I didn't let them into the bathroom but here we don't have a door on our bathroom so its kinda hard plus it is extra big and they love the cool tile floor.
This is the loft.
This is the view from the top of our stairs.

Here are some pics of our HUGE backyard!!! When we first saw it we couldn't believe how big it was especially for an Arizona backyard but the dogs love it.

Changes, Changes Changes

So I know that I haven't updated the blog in a long time so here is what has been going on the past couple of months. Chris got transferred to his own building in Sierra Vista so we had to move so that his commute would be shorter. So we moved to Vail. Here are some pictures of the new house.
This is the front room and this is what you see when you walk into the front door.
This is the other side of the front room.
This is the living room. I love all of the desert colors that the walls are painted.
The kitchen is so big that part of the cupboards are empty, but we love the space.
