Brock and Addy

So cute! Love those kids.

Brock has arrived

Brock Steven Tanner made his debut on May 14, 2012 at 7:38 pm weighing in at 9 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long.

Brock's birth story: (don't worry its not that dramatic and I will leave out most of the gorry details) That morning I ran to a friends house and picked up some things and went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I can home and had lunch and was sitting at the table talking to my sister. We were just hanging out and I started having contractions so we started timing them. An hour and a half later I was still having them, they were coming 5-8 minutes apart. They weren't that painful but I called the doctor and they said to head to labor and delivery. (On a side note, this week was nursing home week and Chris was scheduled to go into the dunk tank at work. When I called him to tell him I was in labor he was literally moments away from climbing into the tank. So needless to say Brock saved him from being dunked by his employees).  So Chris headed home and I called my friend Kim to come and get Addyson. We got to the hospital around 4:00pm. They took me upstairs and checked me, at that point I was at 6cm. I couldn't believe it! My contractions were not that bad and I was in shock that I was so far progressed. They hooked me up to the monitors and started my IV. They gave me my epidural and broke my water. I needed just a little bit of pitocin to regulate my contractions. I was checked around 6:45 and was at 8cm. About a half hour later my doctor came in to check on me and I was at 10 cm. I pushed for about 15-20 minutes and he was here. Easiest delivery ever! I told Chris if all my labor and deliveries were this easy I could have 12 children. (Not gonna happen but still). We came home two days later and all doing really well. Brock is a good baby and reminds us of how Addyson was. He is very chill and mellow. We are very happy and are loving our little family.

Addy meeting her brother for the first time. She loves him so much! She kept on trying to wake him up when she visited in the hospital. She is adjusting well and wants to hold him all the time and give him kisses. She gets really excited when she sees him. We love our kids so much.

First family photo.

Addy saw the diapers and thought it was funny when Chris put one on her monkey.

All ready to go home. He wasn't too happy being put into the car seat. We realized once we got home it was because he had just peed and it probably hurt. He calmed down once we got to the car though.
