On Christmas Day, we moved up to the Tanner's house, and everyone came up. There was a lot of people and a lot of food but it was fun. The brothers and sisters decided to do white elephant gifts this year and it was really fun.

We flew out to Utah for Christmas this year. Chris got to take a whole week off from work.

My mom thought it would be fun to give Addy an empty tin and a spoon to use as a drum.

The monkey will actually spin around on the ground but she won't put it down long enough to let it. She loves it so much.

This year for Halloween Addyson was a strawberry. We didn't take her trick or treating but I did dress her up and take her to Chris' work. I tried to get Chris to dress up as Donald Trump and go around pretending to fire people but he didn't want to do it. So he didn't dress up this year. Here are the few pics of Addyson I do have.

Last week the zoo had a free day so we went with a few of my friends. I brought the camera but I wasn't very good at taking pictures. I did get a few though.

Uncle Bryant comes for a visit

Bryant flew in for a long weekend. Unfortunately we had just moved so he helped us finish some things at our old house and we just hung out and relaxed.

We took Bryant to the farmers market on Saturday morning. The main reason we go is for the food. The best thing I have gotten was from the Biscuit Truck. Its called the Franklin, it has fried chicken, bacon, gravy and cheese on a biscuit. It was so good.

Addyson had lots of fun with Bryant too.

Last weekend we took Addyson to the pumpkin patch. Unfortunately we couldn't pick the pumpkins, but she loved trying to roll the pumpkins over. Too bad we couldn't get her to look at the camera for very long.

The day before Addyson's birthday we had a BBQ with some friends to celebrate Addyson's birthday.

Chris picked out a black forest cake because it looked pretty and looked like it tasted good.

While opening presents most of the other kids opened her presents. She wasn't too interested in opening them.

Flaming Gorge Labor Day 2011

Warning......Huge Post, lots of pictures.
Over Labor Day we went up to Flaming Gorge to camp with my parents and my sister. While there Chris caught some big fish, Addyson went on her first boat ride, and we celebrated Addyson's birthday.

This was the biggest fish caught on this trip. Chris outfished my dad by just a few fish.

On the boat with Papa. She is playing with the CB radio. She even grabbed the steering wheel and was driving the boat a little bit.

She had my Dad laughing so hard he was crying. He couldn't even look at her because it made it worse.

We had to take Addyson down to the bathrooms to wash her off and I ended up getting in the shower with her and came out completely soaked.

All clean after her cake and shower.

We had to block the trailer door so she wouldn't fall out of the trailer.

11 Months

I know this is a little late. I can't believe that in one month we will have a 1 year old! This past year has gone by so fast. She has been such a joy and is turning into quite the little stinker.

She plays very well by herself which is very nice for me.

A few things about Addyson:

She now has five teeth
She can crawl down the hall in five seconds flat
She loves black beans
She is starting to get a baby mullet
She gets into anything she can get her hands on. If I let her play in our bathroom while I am getting ready the bathroom looks like a tornado hit it.
She has learned how to open the drawers thanks to me. ( I accidentally showed her how while I was putting dishes away, ooops)

While I was in Utah my Oma passed away. Chris flew in for the memorial service as well as my great Aunt Sharon and cousin Darnelle. It was so nice to be with family and the service was beautiful. She will definitely be missed.

We have made this laundry basket Addyson's toy basket. I was in the kitchen doing dishes and came out to check on her and she was chewing on the edge of the basket with her body under neath it.

So I went back to my dishes and a few minutes later she was whining and I wasn't sure why. This is what I found.......

She got herself stuck inside the basket and couldn't get out!

So close to crawling, if only she could figure out how to go forwards.

Fourth of July

This 4th of July we went to the ward breakfast and then had some friends over for a shrimp boil. It was good company and good food. I didn't take very many pictures but here are some of the pics I took.

Addyson was playing on the floor while Chris and I were getting things together for a barbecue. Next thing we know Addyson is screaming and I come over to get her and she had fallen on her rocking elephant. She fell from a sitting position so it wasn't that far but she happened to hit the legs, which are wood, with her head. She was pretty tough about it. She stopped crying as soon as I picked her up. Luckily it didn't swell and she just had a line down her forehead the next day.

9 Months

Addyson is now 9 months. Its crazy how fast time flies! She can now clap her hands and is getting real close to crawling. Her favorite things to play with are the laundry baskets, her monkey, and anything she knows that she shouldn't have. At her well check she weighed in at 19 lbs 4 oz (75%) and is 28 inches long (75%). There is never a dull moment when she is awake. She has definitely become a screamer.

Our good friend Terry got this elephant for our children while we were still living in Wyoming. I couldn't wait for our children to play with it. And lucky for us Addyson LOVES it. I put her on it right before bath time and she started rocking it by herself.

Chalk Art Festival

Every year they close down a whole block in downtown Denver for the Chalk Art Festival. All of the pics below are made out of chalk. There were so many people, but it was still a lot of fun. And really cool to see.

Vail Village

On our way home we stopped in Vail Village to walk around. It was really weird because the season had just ended so not all of the shops were open and nobody was around. So we basically had the whole village to ourselves.

This was the view of the mountains that we had on our way home. Driving on I-70 is beautiful but it is a little bit too curvy for me.

Beaver Creek

This year the Colorado Healthcare Association Conference was in Beaver Creek. It is this resort town up in the mountains by Vail, Colorado. It was beautiful and a lot of fun.

I noticed this sign when we were coming back from dinner one night. Its says "Due to recent bear activity the automatic doors will be locked every evening at 7:00. We didn't see any bears luckily but it was still kinda scary.

8 Months

Addyson is 8 months old today! She is getting so fun. My mom and dad got her a walker for Easter and she loves it. She has starting pushing herself backwards in it. She is starting to lean forward on her hands while she is sitting so I think she will be crawling soon.

This is the best picture I could get of her teeth. The first one broke through when she was 6 1/2 months old and the second one came through about a week ago. She has been such a great teether. She doesn't get a fever or cranky, they just break through.

Our Anniversary

Chris and I have been married for four years! Over the past few years on our anniversary we have gone to the melting pot. This year for our anniversary we didn't do very much. We will be going to Beaver Creek at the end of the month so we are going to celebrate our anniversary then. When I got up this is what I found on the table.....

Yesterday it was 80 degrees here in Denver so I pulled out Addyson's summer clothes. Too bad we had to spend most of the day waiting at the DMV to register Chris' car but it was still nice to be in some warm weather.

In one of my previous posts I posted a quilt I made for charity for Chris' work. Last night was the charity auction. Here are some pictures that were taken of us and Addyson at the auction.

It was a fun event and for a good cause. Lots of artwork was donated by employees and residents. I look forward to going to the event again next year.

Addyson is now 7 months old. As you can see from the pictures above she loves bath time. She also no longer likes to be laying down. She loves to sit and watch the world around her. She has recently started blowing raspberries and she gives great hugs. We love her so much.

Rag Quilt for Charity

Chris' work is doing an arts and crafts auction for charity. I think it is for Alzheimer's but I am not 100% sure. Anyways Chris asked me to make a rag quilt that could be auctioned off. I told him that he needed to come with me to pick out the fabric. This is what he came up with. I think it turned out pretty good. It looks really cool in person. Hopefully someone will want it at the auction.

Addyson was sick with croup last week. This was her first morning with it. She handled it pretty well. I think I was more worried about it than she was.

This is what we call her "squishy face" when she cries she squishes up her face and looks so cute. This picture really doesn't do it justice.

Addyson has now started teething so wearing a bib everyday is a must. She is drooling so much.

I love this onesie. Thanks Oma and Opa for getting it for her. I think it says it all.......

6 Months

Addyson is now 6 months. Wow time flies by really fast. She now weighs 15 lbs 9 1/2 oz (45%) and is 26 3/4 inches long (80%). She hates tummy time and hasn't quite mastered the art of rolling over. She can sit up on her own for a little while until she sees something she wants and then she falls over. She LOVES Jake. I know I say this everytime but we feel so blessed to have her in our lives and we are enjoying every waking moment we have to spend with her.

We have also started vegetables. Yah! She loves them. This is her cute carrot face.

DJ flew out for a visit to spend some time with us and Addyson. The boys mostly played video games. They wouldn't wrestle though due to the fact that we don't have a large carpeted area.

Addyson 5 Months

Addyson is now 5 months! We can't believe how fast time has gone. She has grown a ton in the last month. She put on 5 pounds and out grew all of her clothes. She is growing up so fast I wish we could push pause for a few days. She still has not rolled over completely on her own. She can roll over if one of her arms is underneath her. She can sit up by herself for a few seconds without any help.

Addyson 4 Months

Addyson is now 4 months. I can't believe it. She now weighs 11 lbs 12 oz (12%) and is 25 1/4 inches long (80%). Her pediatrician said she is long and lean just like her mom. A few things about our sweet baby girl:

She is now pulling herself up to sit for a few seconds than she falls over.
She loves her monkey and her ducky wubby.
She is not a fan of her carseat.
She hates having tummy time.
She loves to be naked and giggles while she is.

We are really enjoying having her in our lives and couldn't have asked for a better baby to start our family off with. We feel so blessed and our looking forward to the future with her.

Snow, snow and more snow

This is what we woke up to this morning. It started snowing on Saturday night and did not stop until about 8:00 last night. We got eight inches! We are definitely not used to this.

Her newest thing has been sticking her legs straight up in the air. This is not the best picture of it. She is on the verge of rolling over. She can get up on her side so it is only a matter of time.

Addyson is now 3 months old. She smiles all the time and just giggled for the first time a little over a week ago. She can hold her head up with a little bit of bobbing and is now trying to roll over. She loves to sit up on the couch and is starting to pull herself forward to try and sit up.

This year for Thanksgiving we flew to Utah. Addyson and I went for a week and Chris came out the day before Thanksgiving. We had such a great time with our families and got some great pictures.

Addyson had her two month check up today. She now weighs 9 lbs 8 0z and is 22 3/4 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for her height and weight. Her head on the other hand is in the 70th percentile. She also got shots at this appointment and I am proud to say that I did not cry. She is such a joy in our lives and we couldn't be happier that this sweet angel came into our lives.

New home new state new job/Visit from Chris' parents

As most of you know we recently moved to Denver, Colorado. Chris quit his job in Tucson and got a job in Tucson. We moved three weeks after having Addyson and we are now settling in to Denver life. We are renting a townhome in Littleton. Chris is liking his job and I am staying home with Addyson for a little while. The week after we moved up Chris' parents came up for a visit to see Addyson and check out the area we lived in. They were here for a long weekend. Here are some pics of that trip.

My sister couldn't come with my parents when Addyson was born because she had finals for school. So she got to come a week later and have some one on one time with Addyson. It was fun to have her here and we just relaxed for most of the week. The above picture is us on our way to the airport to pick up Jenny.

I think Cuddles slept with Jenny every night.

Addyson Paige Tanner was born at 1:17 in the morning on 09.18.2010. She weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz 20.5 inches long! I am so glad that she came 10 days early. We are all doing really well and are happy that she is here and healthy.

I love this picture. You can see the resemblance in hair color to her dad. I couldn't be happier that she has his strawberry blonde hair.

Crazy Monsoon Weather

This past week has been great for the Monsoon rain. I think it has rained everyday this week. Houghton-the main road out to our house-which is a two lane road has been flooded about three times. There is no other place for the water to run except over the road. Chris LOVES driving through the washes and splashing the water everywhere. He says puddles were made for splashing. Thank goodness I have new tires on the car. Anyways after one really bad storm (I think there was three right in a row), a storm would come and then there would be a break for about 20 minutes then another would hit. The wind blew over a tree in our backyard. Here is the picture of the poor downed tree. Luckily it can be saved. We called our landlord and she sent someone out to look at it. Chris and him will be standing the poor tree back up today.

Addyson 31 Weeks 5 Days

Here is the most recent picture of my belly. We are getting really excited for her to be here and trust me I cannot wait for the next eight weeks to fly by. I love being pregnant, just not in Arizona. I went to the doctor last week and she told me that due to the fact that I have no body fat Addyson is two centimeters below my skin. Its crazy how much I can feel. She has now found my ribs on my right side and gets the hiccups a lot. Its crazy to think that I have this living baby inside of me. It makes me realize how blessed we are to start a family of our own. Needless to say we are super excited!

Huge Toad

The other night we let our dogs and Jake starting barking like crazy. My first thought was oh great another snake. But luckily it was this huge ugly toad right outside the door. We brought the dogs in and grabbed the camera. As soon as Chris picked up the toad it started "peeing" on him or so we thought. Apparently river toads can be quite poisonous. It can kill a dog if they like it. Luckily Chris did not lick his fingers after and the dogs were too scared to get too close. These toads are so annoying. We had a major rain storm a couple of nights ago and they sound like cats dying when they are croaking. Its ridiculous.

The garden

Here are some new pictures of the garden. These are the baby cantaloupes that we have growing. I took these pictures about 3 weeks ago so they are bigger now.

My yellow squash plant. It keeps growing them about this size and then the rot out and die so maybe Arizona is not the best place for them to grow.

This is what my zucchini plant produces. Chris thinks it got cross pollinated, but we are not sure. I just picked another one this size today. Weird huh?

Addyson 27 Weeks

Here I am at 27 weeks. My belly has finally popped out and everyone is saying how cute I look. They love the belly at my work. I can't believe how fast the second trimester goes! We are now realizing that she will be here in about 3 months. I tell Chris the closer his sister gets to having her baby the closer we get. We are really excited to have 3 girls really close in age. It will be so much fun.

Addyson 23 Weeks

Here is my baby bump at 23 weeks. This week at work everyone is saying that now I am starting to look pregnant. Not five months pregnant but at least I am starting to look pregnant. Addyson is very active and I swear she doesn't sleep much. I think she likes to remind me that she is still in there. We are getting excited and can't wait for this new edition to arrive.

Our 3 Year Anniversary

This year for our anniversary we returned to one of our favorite places to eat. We went to melting pot again. It was so good! We only go about once a year because it is pricey but its nice and we enjoy it.

Chris and I went to my ultrasound today and found out that we are having a little girl. She is weighing in at 10 ounces and is quite the mover. We are super excited and are thrilled that she is thriving.

Here are some pictures of the garden now. Things are getting big. We think we will have tomatoes in a couple weeks. I am most excited for the green beans, the peas and the squash. All Chris can think about is the salsa.
