Addy 2 years Brock 4 months

Today we went to the pediatrician for the kids checkups. Here are the stats:

Addy:

Height: 36 1/2 inches-97% and up (she was off the charts)
Weight: 29 1/4 lbs-80%
Head: 50 cm-97%

Brock:

Height: 26 1/2 inches-93% (and yes he is only 10 inches shorter than his sister)
Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz-75%
Head: 43 1/2 cm-80%

The nurse had to double check Brock's height because she thought she measured it wrong. Its crazy to look back at Addy's stats when she was Brock's age. She only weighed 11 lbs. Its crazy how different your kids are.

Memory Walk

This year for the Alzheimers memory walk Chris' work wanted to "create a buzz" about alzheimers. So Chris took one for the team and dressed up like a bee at the walk. I didnt make it in time to walk with the group from his work but it was still fun to go and see him.

Little Monkeys

I got an add in the mail for Old Navy and they had these cute critter hoodies. So of course we had to ge them. You can't really tell in Addy's picture but there is ears on her hood as well.

Brock has gotten to the stage where he wants to be upright but he can't sit up by himself so we pulled out the walker and he loves it (for short periods of time). Its something new to play with and look at. 

Happy Birthday Addy

 

 

Addy turned 2 on the 18th. We decided that she needed a kitchen for her birthday. So the grandparents helped get accessories for the kitchen.

We filled her room with balloons. She thought it was so funny. She loves throwing them in the air.

 

We decided to just make cupcakes this year instead of having a huge cake for the 3 of us.

 

Happy Birthday Princess! We can't believe that you are already two. We love your sweet spirit and enjoy having you around.

Oh so funny....

I love how cute this video is. It was just too cute not to share. Brock definitely loves his sister. And yes the high pitched squealing is Brock.

He has a lot to say....

Lately Brock has been talking up a storm. I think with how much Addy talks throughout the day he figured he should join in. We love hearing his little voice.

Pretty Toes

Addy finally let me paint her toe nails. I was painting mine one day and I painted her thumb nail red and she freaked out and ran away screaming "Owie". After that she never wanted me to do it. So when I was painting mine another color, I asked her if she wanted me to do them and she did. She sat real still and helped me blow them dry. Now she has pretty toes and fingers all the time.

Brock

This cute little bubba is getting so big. I can't believe he will be 4 months in a couple of weeks. Where has the time gone. He now has "peach fuzz" that sticks straight up on top of his head. Thanks Aunt Acacia for naming it so. It fits him perfectly.

Hats

Lately Addy has had a thing for hats. Anything that fits on her head becomes a hat.

Little Man Ice Cream

Our friend Jeff invited to go to Little Man Ice Cream one night. It was really fun and had pretty good ice cream.

This Summer....

ate at Jimmy Johns and Addy got a little bit gansta on us.

 

 We canned some salsa and will be canning peaches next.

 We ate at Chick-fil-A. Addy was excited to see the cow until the cow came close and she didn't want to see it anymore.

 

Addy had her first smore and loved it.
