Rattlesnake Hunting

Chris built this great trap to trap the rattlesnake in and guess what he didn't even need it. The box was lined with sticky traps so that the snake would get stuck and not be able to get out. When Chris got home today he went out in the backyard with his headlamp on and his shovel and low and behold there was the snake crawling along the fence. Chris stabbed the snake with the shovel and cut its head off. He said that the snake didn't even know he was coming and didn't even have a chance to coil up. Here are the pictures:

    No we did not eat it. Chris through it over the fence once he killed it. Thank goodness I dont think I could handle knowing that it was still alive crawling around my backyard for one more day.
