Our First Tomato

Our first tomato!! Chris was so excited. He came in last night from watering the garden and he was so happy to know that we have a baby tomato. The plants are growing in leaps and bounds. I think they jump up taller every day and this tomato grew overnight we think.

More Desert Museum

These pictures were taken inside the fake caves at the Desert Museum. They had this little detour that you can take and climb around inside them. It was a tight fit in certain places and Chris thought he got lost once and didn't know how to get out but he found the way.

Desert Museum

We went to the Desert Museum on Saturday. It was really neat. We spent like half a day walking around the park. Everything is paved and they have sections of the desert. We saw bobcats, mountain lions, javelinas, otters, turtles, beavers, bees, hummingbirds, and tons of plants. After we made it through the park we stopped for ice cream. This is a regular ice cream cone. We couldn't believe how big they were but they were good.

These two cactus are in bloom and Chris had a heyday getting pictures of all of them in bloom.
These were some of the many flowers they had. I thought it was really pretty.

These are some different kinds of cactus that are all over Tucson. We actually have one of the bottom picture cactus in our backyard.

These are some Saguaro cactus' that were in the park. You don't realize how tall they are until you see them up close.

The Lizard that got away

Cuddles actually caught this lizard on our side yard. I heard her meowing so I went out there and she had this lizard pinned. I thought she had eaten it; so when the dogs went out later that night I was surprised to see the lizard hiding out under neath the crate. You can see some of the blood on its arm. It could barely walk. Chris scooped it up on a spatula and put it up on our back wall near the tree so the dogs wouldn't eat it. I couldn't believe how long its tail was.

Nap Time in Tucson

I took these pictures from the window. I didn't want to wake them up. They sleep so much during the day, its crazy!! If I let them in, in the afternoon they will sleep for like three hours.

Our Pets and the sprouts from the garden

These pictures were taken on Saturday. It was a rainy day and the dogs were being lazy inside. Then pumpkin just plopped right down next to Jake and of course he loved it and Lucy was jealous like always.

These are pictures of our little sprouts that we have coming up. Chris is so proud of them. We even have a blossom on one of our tomato plants. Its exciting to watch things grow. Its just amazing that a tiny seed can produce these beautiful sprouts.

The New Fence

This is the new fence that we had to build on the inside of our fenced in yard. Our dogs had a lot of fun chewing up the drip system that was placed in the flower beds and all around the yard. The dogs next door to us also would jump up on the outer fence and Lucy and them would have a barking war and get in each others faces and so on so we blocked that area off so she couldn't access the outer fence. It's great when your dogs chew on things that they know that they are supposed to chew on. The day after we put this fence up they dug out a sprinkler head in their little tiny patch of grass and broke it down near the elbow. Needless to say Chris was not impressed. So now if our dogs ever wanted to try to escape they would have to get through two fences and three gates.

Pumpkin

I thought this was so funny. I was in the bathroom getting ready and Pumpkin just jumped into our tub and laid down like it was nothing. She looked so cute that I had to take her picture. Plus it shows off our big bathtub that I was so excited to have in the house. But we haven't even used it yet.

The House

Here is the view for when you walk in the front door.
This is the front room. That is the front door on the right.
This is our kitchen. It has almost as much storage space in the cabinets, but there are more drawers and our pantry is huge so that helps.

This is the main area. Its really big and open. We love it!
