It's a Girl.

Chris and I went to my ultrasound today and found out that we are having a little girl. She is weighing in at 10 ounces and is quite the mover. We are super excited and are thrilled that she is thriving.

The Garden Now

Here are some pictures of the garden now. Things are getting big. We think we will have tomatoes in a couple weeks. I am most excited for the green beans, the peas and the squash. All Chris can think about is the salsa.

The tomatos and the basil in the front.

This one is the pepper plants and in the blank spaces Chris planted swiss chard.

Here are the beans and the peas. Sorry the blogger uploaded it crooked.

This is my little zucchini plant. Hopefully this year we dont have a mutated one.

Baby bump at 17 weeks

I know that its not a huge bump but its getting there. The baby is moving all the time and I love it. We get to find out what we are having on April 28th. So hopefully the baby cooperates this time.

The County Fair

This year we went to the Pima County Fair, it was huge. This fair was so awesome. They had all the normal fair stuff and some really cool stuff. Like elephant rides, monkey shows and seal shows. We also got to see a hypnotist show and just enjoyed the fair atmosphere. The fair food was awesome.

Lucy vs. the fence.

So this weekend Chris was working out in the backyard and he started talking to our neighbors over the fence. I went out there and Lucy was jumping around the fence trying to say hi to the neighbors and she somehow hit the top of the fence and scrapped her face. She didn't yelp or anything she just walked away like nothing happened. When she was walking away I noticed that she was bleeding so I brought her inside and it just looked like this u shaped scrape under her chin. It wasn't bleeding that bad so we thought she would be ok. Well the cut was a lot worse and deeper than we thought. I took her into the vet today and it is infected and they had to cut away the dead skin. Now she just has this big hole on the side of her face.

Here is the hole in her face. You can see from looking at it that it is infected. The vet said it should start to fill in and she will just have a scar there.

I stayed home from work and worked from home today and this is what she did most of the day. Just kinda laid around and was lazy. Poor girl.

Boy or Girl?

Today we went to the doctor for my monthly check up and when I saw my doctor four weeks ago she told me that we should be able to find out what the baby is between 15-17 weeks. So today we were so excited because we thought we would be able to find out what the baby is. The doctor starts the ultrasound and the baby was facing away from us, so at first all we saw was the spine and back of the baby. The doctor could tell that the legs were crossed so while she was trying to see I started poking my belly trying to get the baby to move. It uncrossed its legs stretched out, starting rolling over then stopped and crossed its legs at the knees. So needless to say we still don't know what the baby is. I have another ultrasound in 3 weeks and we should be able to find out then. For now its just stubborn.

Easter and our Garden

This year since we don't have any children here we decided to do Easter baskets for each other. Here are the pictures of them. Chris has a tradition where his parents would hide the baskets and you have to find them. So I hid his in one of the upstairs bathrooms and he hid mine in the pantry. I got Chris E.T. because he has always said how good of a movie it was and I have never seen it.

Here is the start of our garden. We have 15 tomato plants. (I know what is Chris thinking). And we also have our peppers and beans planted. Chris is going to make some more boxes so we can have the zucchini, squash, and cucumbers in their own boxes. I learned that the hard way last year when the cucumbers grew into everything.
